Wel said Derek the lasts thing we need is for lots of people flocking here from the UK and bringing the virus with them as there is a lot of people in the uk that don't abide by the rules
Well said John98andrew and Derek58. Many of us on the forum have been saying this since early March and have been posting warnings about the spread of Covid-19 in Spain before somebody here decided to delete threads of truth probably under pressure from disagreeing and abusive people still living in a false past.
Well if what I saw in Albox yesterday is anything to go by, we can all expect a 2nd wave, I thought the bars could open at 50% on their terraces, what I saw was terraces packed full of people 100% full 6 to a table in some cases, no distancing what so ever, and then I went to Longo's and noticed the new Amigo's Market was open, I walked in unchallenged I had my mask and gloves on, but not one other person/stall holder had a mask or gloves on, people standing around in large groups talking. O and by the way from what I could see most of the people in the bars were English!!! surprise surprise. I despair
Stay safe Jenni

1. . . . . good on ya Jenni. I think I'll give Spain a miss this year. I'd like to stay above ground for a while longer.
2. Ants, please amend the title to read Borders (not Boarders).

As of today, it is law to wear a mask in public places if 2 metre rule can’t be met (I HATE the term “social distancing” and wish it an early end!!) ... and how do you measure 2 metres? That will be by estimation and I imagine that will be Guardia Civils estimation.
Borders. I’ve seen some English papers touting “end of June” to open borders, and Spain’s Minister of Tourism has expressed his hope that Spain will open to international tourism at the end of June ... he is assuming all Provinces de-escalate on time ... however Madrid and Malaga to name two can only now complete phase 3 by 3rd July or thereabouts as they didn’t meet criteria for moving to phase 1. Until all provinces have completed phase 3, movement between provinces is forbidden, ergo, no tourism. Domestic tourism within your own province is being encouraged.
Also, whilst borders may well open end of June / early July, don’t automatically think that means to the entire world. Once borders open again, I imagine there will be restrictions on visitors from US and it would not surprise me to see similar restrictions on visitors from UK, given UK Govs utterly abysmal handling of the crisis.
What form those measures might take, I don’t know - self-isolation won’t work because who will actually quarantine themselves for 14 days if they are only coming for that long? Health passports? Mandatory 200€ Covid-19 tests at airport as per Austria? Remains to be seen. It won’t be a free-for-all though; as much as many might like to think that Spain can’t manage without the ££, it can manage a second lockdown even less, so it will be moving to avoid that, whilst still bringing as much tourism as safely possible back.

Yes your right I shouldn't have been in there, the point is I was able to walk in there unchallenged and there were lots of people standing around talk no social distancing and no masks or gloves. Very irresponsible of the Market Managament and the stall holders.
