I spoke to the manager of Los Llanos market today, I asked him why the Amigos market  was allowed to open and the Los Llanos market wasn't, his reply was Amigos is in Albox and Los Llanos is in Arborleaus . So 2  markets 1 mile apart and completely different rules, Crazy!!!!

Stay safe everyone  Jenni

For those that do actually get here this summer, it has been announced that Junta de Andalucia will be directing local councils to place restrictions on the beach this summer, of four hours maximum on the beach and two metre distancing, with areas clearly marked on the beach.

People being people will of course ignore or try and get round these restrictions.  The resultant fines will assist in restarting Spain’s economy 😊

Just heard the spanish boarders are going to open end of june ,that's good news for is as we have property in spain and need to sort out a few problems over there

There has been no official announcement that borders will open at the end of June. There is a lot of speculation on social media but the last thing that Spain wants is an influx of people from countries grappling (some not so well) with Covid19. It seems more likely that at the end of June it will favour internal tourism - as Spanish citizens and residents become allowed to visit and stay at coastal resorts. That may include a relaxation to allow home owners here that live abroad to come and visit.

Good morning All

I have read all the post regarding borders opening but all or most I read was how different countries handled the situation I do beleive that other than Germany have handled Covid-19 better than most and other countries and the rest should have followed their example, and to say that people from UK should not travel to Spain to be honest is an insult, every country have their idiots and I includ the UK but since easying of the lockdown in Spain (and prior)all I see on Social media platforms with photos of poeple sitting together in bars etc no 2 metres apart same on the beach(I also agree with Jennie), and to say that spain had it right by strict enforcing of the lockdown rules and has got it spot on I can only think and following reports that enforcing the rule may be due to thefact that people could not be trusted and being toughtfull of how this horrendous Caronavirus effects everyone I do beleive that if everyone treated this desease with repect and meanfull of the rules we could be in a better place,

If you are right Jenni and I think you are then Covid-19 Wave2 is on the way and we've just started Fase1.

It’s going to be difficult, for sure - especially the four hour rule, but you can be certain they’ll have something planned that will involve payment of €€€ for the non-compliant.

I’ve also seen lots of people on (anti-)social media say that wearing of masks is enforced only if you don’t keep 2 metres away from someone.  This is not correct ... wearing of masks is now mandatory if “in a public place where physical distancing cannot be guaranteed” which is a lot more vague and much more open to interpretation for issuing of fines by CNP / Guardia Civil / Policia Local

Hi Peter,

You forgot to include that Boris defeated Boko Haram + Al Queda and with one hand tied behind his back too!

Yes I am sure your right, the Spanish love their fines, but quite honestly any one flouting the rules/laws  should be heavily fined, I am quite happy if they want to risk their own health, but they have no regard for the rest of us who would like to stay alive.

I think going to the beach is lovely a swim in the sea beautiful, but is it really necessary can't people manage to go a whole year without going to the beach, Also as they walk back and forth to the sea they will be passing other people thus breaking the distancing rule, so does that mean they have to wear a mask on the beach and salt water up the nose often causes sneezing, thus spreading germs, !!!!!!

Have a nice day JX
