When we were looking at properties, we couldnt picture plot sizes. We had no idea what 2500 square metres really looked like. It was very educational though, because for us, 700 to 800 is perfect for us. Looked at one that stood in 400 and that gave us totally inadequate outside space. Obviously, we all have differing ideas about what is best.

My view of some of the larger plots was, "what are we going to do with all this space?" I was thinking about racing our cars around. 😁

Regarding your 3 acre plot. I simply see that as hard work, which is not something I want to even think about, being just seven very long weeks away from retirement.

Partners villa is a double sized plot, just about big enough for her villa with pool to build another villa !!,  meanwhile we have a large boules court to play on when friends and neighbours come round for jab and drinks. You'll know what plot size is "right"  when you see it.

Absolutely. All I could see with the really huge plots was money leaving our bank account, and for what?Space we could never use, or ever need.

I agree about the ideal plot size, for me I'd like 600/700 sq mtrs, don't like noisy Dodds, noisy holiday makers,We like our space and when entertaining not letting the neighbors be put out by our music or impromptu singing.

3acrs is and was wonderfull, hundreds of olive trees, shrubs etc. Nearly self maintains albeit for about 1 months work per year by the local gardener.

I'll miss it if it goes back on the market maybe next year, I'll be 76 yrs young and it's the garden and space that has kept me fit,M but it's time now move around a bit, and enjoy more of the world before we come to the end of our lives, if I was 54 yrs old again I would buy it again

You've just made me feel very, very young. You say that you're 76 years young. That makes my 68 positively infantile. 😁
