https://www.theguardian.com/global-development/2020/sep/02/vaccine-derived-polio-spreads-in-africa-after-defeat-of-wild-virus

So after at least 50 years of vaccine research it has been admitted by no names mentioned that polio is spreading via the vaccine itself, so that should cause one to consider wether a 6-9 month non tested vaccince for covid should be trusted by the general population. I have no problems with those toeing the government line that you should believe what they tell you , and I also believe that if you hold a contrary opinion that has a place as an equal and justly deserved point of view in an open discussion.

The article states that the method used for this particular vaccine should have been discontinued a long time ago:

"Use of the oral polio vaccine was discontinued in the UK in 2004 and the US in 2000, and the UN agency advises that the use of the oral vaccine should be discontinued after polio is judged to be eradicated because of the risk of vaccine-derived outbreaks."

So those using this article as evidence to support an "anti-vax" movement doesn't really make sense as it shouldn't have been done in the first place, especially in areas of poor sanitation. It is also not relevant to any upcoming covid-19 vaxxine which will be delivered via injection and not orally.

Why are you so defensive, and why do yo believe that you are right and have what you consider to be the "the moral " high ground in all topics posted and therefore that gives you the right to shut down opinions that differ from yours. Also please state who your moderators are and why they have according to you , have the right to shut down free non aggressive speech which you don't agree with for personal political motives. I don't believe there are any, its just you hiding behind the anonominity of the internet, which is the only place that you feel safe and in control? Don't shut me down, counter me with an intelligent reply, I relish it.

Alex is right and he is not "defensive" and has an opinion on the subject with which I agree.

I remember an argument many years ago in Ireland when it was mooted that the Aran Islands (off west coast) that an air service with the mainland should be provided. There were those that thought the Irish language would be killed off and the flora and fauna and culture of the islands would be put at risk. The airstrip was provided with a good service and many lives were saved as a result to this day.

A vaccine will be discovered that will eradicate Covid. You don't have to use it of course but when it's available I bet Jen-jen will be first in the queue.

I think when Covid 19 vaccine has been approved it should be compulsory for everyone to receive it.

And that's exactly wrong,it should be a choice not forced on people

The problem is 9 out of ten people read what they think not think what they read. This is the base of legal interpretation. The moderator simply pointed out  a fact of the article, and because it didn, t suit your interpretation you comain.

Again read what it says not u think it says.
