I said nothing but the truth, the question wasnt about mojacar...i find plenty of peeps that come over want a high brit population coz they have no spanish or intentions of learning any,not aimed at garry by the way! And as i said before,GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!!

its not all about not having the language or no intentions of learning the language.. we live in a small spanish village in tenerife and are moving to mainland for various reasons ..we have \(especially my wife) a fair grip of the language.....but for me day to dayconversation between english people is far different from a conversation you would have with a spanish person.and integration is virtually non existant..so (for me) being in an english environment would be preferable...also spanish are very vocally loud (and thats not for me)  please dont take this as a rant.....its fact some people may want this lifestyle  everyone to there own....i would advise research and some trips over to get a true feel of where you may be moving ............

I've just read all of the comments on here, some positive and some negative.

One thing i find a bit strange (looking for another word there!) Gaz is that you currently have 2 choices...

1) Retire

or

2) Set up and run 2 businesses, where it looks like you dont have any current real experience in.

Wow, setting up and running 2 businesses, primarily doing paperwork in a foreign language, obtaining clients, keeping clients, marketing, doing the work, getting invoices paid, chasing unpaid invoices, versus putting your feet up, having a beer on the beach, watching the world go by in the sun. I certainly know what my choice would be at your age.Plus it seems based on your answers that money is not a real issue here.

I think its a case of come over for a month or two, do your research, speak to people, check out footfall with existing bars and restos then decide to retire.
