Hi all. We need your advice again.

We are driving to Almeria in our DS3 2018 reg. It does not have a spare tyre. I have checked with Citroen and there is not a spare three of this vehicle. We are aware it is the law in Spain to have a spare tyre in your vehicle. We are wondering what others do in these circumstances.

Thanks for any help

Relax. A repair Kit is fine, ours came with one, and there is no place for a wheel. 2nd hand, 2016 model, spanish plates, spanish bought, itv approved without spare.

I recently bought a car without a spare, and as I often have to travel on a dirt track, where I've had a few punctures, I don't like the repair kit stuff, so I bought a 'skinny' spare form a company the seems to specialise in them, not cheap though!

These repair kits are all well and good, but if you get a sidewall puncture / cut,  you're stuffed!

If you are trading from uk you are better buying a space saver

I think we can all agree the majority of drivers dislike the kits, they are something car manufacturers have introduced for space/price saving.

But as there are only 2 car makes (tmk) who include spare tyre for new cars now, I don't think a spare tyre is a legal requirement in Spain any more
