Being optimistic and hoping we'll get back out to Arboleas at some point later this year when allowed.

Whilst myself and husband are both fully vaccinated we'll be bringing our teenage daughter who won't be. Dependent on next weeks announcement we're thinking we will probably need a PCR test to return to UK or best case only she will need one.

Can anyone tell me where we could get one near to Arboleas? Preferably somewhere that we could book and that people have experiences with so we know what service to expect? We'd need it to be done within 72 hours and likelihood is we'll fly on a Saturday so test done Thurs afternoon, results back Friday to be on safe side?

Thanks

If you are not a resident you have no chance of coming to Spain at the moment and I thought no one could leave the UK at the moment?

We're not residents no, but we have no intention of coming until we're legally allowed to do so.

As I said, we're optimistically planning ahead for later in the year but just want to be informed.

Its good to be optimistic Maggi and hopefully travel will get easier and you can return to Arboleas soon 🤞

Dr Pablo in Albox can help with your tests if and when the time comes.

At present the UK continue to accept an antigen test (currently €35 each), much easier and cheaper than the PCR.

Obviously things are changing all the time and its a case of keeping up to date with requirements of both Spain and the  UK.

Good Luck 👍

Thank you Zoe, that's really helpful. I'd read on another post about Vera Medical Centre but if we can get them in Albox that would be great.

We wouldn't be able to come until at least July but just want to try and consider our options and guesstimate prices if we can to make a reasonable decision.

. Thanks

Would you need a test to travel to Almeria?

That's unknown at the moment and will likely to depend on the Spanish government.

Some other places like Greece, Cyprus and Turkey have all said no test required if you are fully vaccinated, which we will be, but that doesn't mean Spain will say the same.

If we do need a test before arrival we know where to get one, my husband came out to visit his parents before Christmas and had to have a test to enter so we can organise that easily. It's just the test returning to the UK we would need to sort.

Thanks

we are buying in Almeria area, we have possible flights for end of May, However, with  the costs of testing for 4 persons, this could add another £600 for the trip.

Searched on line reference testing, but it’s all very unclear

We should know more on Monday when Boris makes his travel announcement as to what is needed from the UK end but not sure when Spain will make further announcements.

My husband paid £120 for his before Christmas but they did a deal where you could get 2 people tested for £180 and I believe some places are cheaper now. I'm hoping that having had the vaccine though we might not need a test to enter but who knows. If it's too expensive we'll just have to wait until things are better.

"Dependent on next weeks announcement"  Easing of Lockdown Is coming we have booked JUNE,JULY,AUG, OCT DEC JAN 22 FEB22 AND MARCH 22  Adding other dates.

We are hoping by June restrictions will be in place but more achievable, he has now announced anybody can now get free covid testing in the UK starting from Next week, testing millions of Brits which will bring down the R rate as currently only those with symptoms are tested.

Cant wait, I feel safe in Spain and everyone can travel and be safe, we need to live with this and continue social distancing for a long time to come.
