You may have “won” as you call it but it was a “pyrrhic” victory. I hope brexiteers are proud of the fact that they have cost thousands of ex pats living in Europe €200 out of every £1000. (20%). Irrespective of Covid. This includes your friends, your neighborbut more importantly pensi...

...oners that have worked all their lives in order to lose 20% of their pension payments. On top of all this not one brexiteer can give one ‘positive’ from the last 4 years.

If you love the UK so much why did you leave, choices, it was your choice to leave, it's others choice to stay.  People are very selfish in their wants and needs, you cannot please everybody, but do not criticise people that do not have the same views as yours.

Selfish?  Brexit is the very definition of “selfish” - “I don’t want to go abroad so no one else needs to either”

And how does brexit stop you going abroad, am I missing something?

It pretty much puts a full stop to anyone not very wealthy retiring in Europe.  Yes, you can holiday .... but your ability to move to a place in the sun is now severely restricted.

By your very post Kaye you are calling me selfish and criticising my choice of habitation. Kettle, pot and black spring to mind. And if I chose to live in Outer Mongolia it still wouldn’t mean that I don’t still love the U.K.  my comments, and most of those on here are in defence of the U.K. as I  hate to see it slump to its current depths because of the misguided thoughts of  gullible  sheep That believed the Brexit party lies. I ask this question of EVERY BREXITEER but have never had an answer. Please name just one actual benefit of leaving the Eu.

And I’m fairly certain you won’t get an answer to that Doris - not a sensible one anyway.

I’ve asked it so many times Dario and not had one answer. And the simple answer is = THERE ARE NO BENEFITS FROM LEAVING

I’m just WAITING for the “freed from the rule of unelected bureaucrats” trope ... that’s such a FUN one to rip apart - especially now, with Cummings - an unelected bureaucrat - actually in charge.

Who said I was a brexiteer, I am just saying don't criticise those who do not have the same beliefs as you.  As I said choices, and respect people's choices, you chose to go to Spain, your choice but you cannot blame Brexit for you losing money, anything could have caused it.  Actually I think you will find that the effect of Covid will have more of an impact.
