I note Theresa May is doggedly holding on to what she calls democracy by her fingernails. I've heard at least two former British Prime Ministers calling for an immediate 2nd EU Referendum. But, she seems to be listening to the voices of the British hierarchy i.e. Boris and Nigel.  Nigel is not the poorest of British representatives and Boris went to school in Eton where if you're lucky you'd see the outside once in your lifetime.

Like I said in earlier posts, the less-than-rich Brits of the UK (and especially those in the like of Spain) are the main losers here. Therefore, the UK is being run by the rich over 35's to the detriment of everybody else. I hear the old farts shouting the problems with the EU's immigration policies (or especially the new immigration thoughts of British nationals). Immigration is a double edged sword; you don't want immigrants to the UK but you want emigration to the EU by Brits. Something is wrong somewhere.

England (Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland in tow) are running out of time fast. The honest politician will tell you that the Brit's uncertainty in Spain will get more uncertain from Fools Day (April 1st). Unfortunately, most Brits seem to be listening to dishonest politicians. Last time I heard of such was around the 1930's when that guy with the small moustache fooled not only Germany but Austria as well. Even their kids want to forget about what happened. I hope that doesn't happen in the UK.

I'm still running with a further delay in Brexit and another Referendum on the EU. Whatever way you look at the last  Referendum, it was a protest vote that backfired.

The problem going back to a second vote, could be that “extremists” could use this as an excuse to start rioting in the UK as we have seen in France. The UK police could not handle this.

Protest vote that backfired ?? Only backfired on David Cameron !!

Can't see TM giving in to another referendum, can see her giving up being stabbed in the back constantly by her own party, can also see lots of Tory mps getting voted out at the next election for totally disregarding their constituents wishes and going with their own personal agendas, for goodness sakes there's a female mp up in the north east who has 70% of her constituents voting to leave !!!  Yet she's banging on about  how she thinks that remaining is the best option.

Tm should just get on with it and stop being bossed about by the big headed bigwigs in Brussels, tell them that the UK is still leaving and make it stick and stop coming away from Europe having been told no deal and keep our money in the bank and not bolstering EURO prats free dinners, free travel, overblown pensions and everything else that the multi million euros/pounds the UK contributes every day/week and use that cash to bolster the NHS and our own poor before the new minister for work and pensions who is "attracted" to taxing the over 40's and over 65's actually gets to put this added taxation into place.

Who needs to worry about Brexit when theres policies like that one being considered.

Theresa May has backed herself into a corner and hasn't left room for a dignified retreat; neither does she now have the time for a dignified retreat. The first rule even in purchasing property in Spain by English speaking people is to leave room for a dignified retreat should things not work out. I can't see Theresa May in a happy ending on the Brexit issue. She can shunt, ignore, crave pity and if she does not change, she'll shortly be an ex Prime Minister.

Brexit was not caused by EU politicians having free dinners, free travel or free anything. In the UK Brexit is about

I M M I G R A T I O N

Nothing else. If you believe otherwise you'd be better off believing the likes of OJ Simpson and Donald Trump neither of whom could tell the full truth even if they had taken truth-serum.

So the NHS is going to gain by Brexit and the saved money is to be used for the poor of the UK. Hands up  those who really believe this. Not many hands I reckon. The UK to be saved by a scruffy aired Etonian? - I don't think so.

You see Brexit is seen differently by non Brits. The original post here is about what will happen to properties owned by Brits if the UK leaves the EU. In that title there is a genuine fear (and I share some of that fear) that Spanish property value will decrease even more than it has already. Do the Spaniards care? No bloody way! They have witnessed property prices escalating beyond their reach; mostly caused by us English speaking peoples. And you think they'll give a toss about the Brits after Brexit? They'll miss the Brits like they miss last weekend's hangover.

And the saviours of the Brits Nigel, Theresa and Boris, what do they care about the guy who bought off plan fifteen years ago? That guy after Brexit is probably now somewat trapped in Spain even if he has a residentia. Worse again he can't return to the UK because of the price of property there. Even the Brit who purchased two years ago will be worse off after Brexit. Most of my friends in Mojacar are Brits; I hear them talking loosely "We've just got to hold our nerve" - "Britain was always Great" - "The Pound/Sterling has suffered setbacks but always came back stronger" - "The Tories never left us down." And the one I love . . . "Britain stands alone, again" - said proudly with emotion and nearly raising strains of orchestral Land of Hope and Glory in the background,  and Hitler was beaten by the Tommy alone and dismissing the Yanks, Russians and everybody else who fought on the allied side in WW2.

The Stinking Rich of the UK have convinced the  Poor of the UK that after Brexit they'll still be Stinking Poor but will feel Stinking Rich. Translation:- The Rich will become richer and the Poor, poorer.

It's not "IMmigration" it's migrants being allowed to enforce their beliefs and doctrines and ideologies, Sharia law, hate preachers etc etc that had and most likely still have upset the apple cart plus the inactions of border force in getting shut of them as soon as they land in the UK, apply for asylum get refused and then disappear into the black market, all the money the UK pays into the Brussels coffers, the sheer arrogance of said Brussels politicians that pissed the leave voters off, and now we have all the backstabbers crawling out the woodwork, ffs even the biggest slimeball, one J (C) Hunt fancies" a shot at becoming PM !! A sleazeball who made a bollocks of the NHS and will no doubt do the same as Foreign secretary, probably paving the way for his pal DC.

As for what will happen to/with Brits with property here, whether there might be a mass migration back to the UK forced upon us by the Spanish, cue the ensuing collapse of the Spanish property market and money market all over again, does anyone really believe the Spanish government can afford to go thru those two scenarios again ??,  irrespective of whether the Spanish dont care if we stay or leave if ex pats can afford to debunk back to the UK, if theres room given all the migrants that will sneak in by that time ?? I personally doubt that anything will happen, prove me wrong in 5 years time !! Lol

Final Say vote before the end of 2020 is a “probability rather a possibility,” according to William Hill. It is the first bookie to give a second referendum a greater than 50 per cent chance of happening.

The company is offering odds of 8/11 on another EU vote, assessing that there is a 54 per cent chance of it being held in the next two years.

The bookmaker also lengthened odds that Prime Minister Theresa May’s Brexit deal will be approved by Parliament before 31 March to 5/2.

Copied and pasted from a longer article in the Independent newspaper a few minutes ago. Looks like another EU vote is most likely after an extension to the Brexit route. Guess where you heard it first? 8/11 might not be bad odds - you won't become rich, but you'll make a few bob.

At long last some light at the end of the tunnel and it took a non-Brit to keep you informed of what is really happening in Britain.

What a difference a couple of days make; the odds of a 2nd Referendum on EU membership in the UK now read:-

NO 4/6  for 2019 only.

YES 6/5 for 2019 only.

As an Irishman looking in on UK politics, I think the entire UK population is changing its mind every few minutes. And there's more to come.
