Do you, or did you ever Run or Jog? Why not try Hashing?
Hashing is a non-competitive, social event, where members have fun, can have a drink and maybe get a bit of exercise. Our group, ‘Indalo Hash House Harriers (IH3)’ is just one of almost 2000 hash groups throughout the world. We hash anywhere from the coast around Mojácar to Vélez Blanco in the mountains.
Being non-competitive, you can run, jog, stroll or stagger, whether you’re a teenager or getting on a bit, you can join in. The basic aim of the hash is to HAVE FUN, and at the same time encourage a bit of exercise, without over doing it. We welcome all shapes and sizes, in all stages of degeneration. The routes are not long and we don’t go fast, we only jog/run on the easy bits and walk on the hard ones, based on a ‘hare & hounds’ type event, any faster runners have to search for the true trail, while the slower ones catch up, the hash is only as fast as its slowest runner.
The best way to find out about hashing is to just come along, but maybe first take a look at this website https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hash_House_Harriers and if you’re interested, e-mail [email protected] and ask to be put on the mailing list, for all future events.
Also see out Facebook site, Indalo HHH
The next ‘hash’ is in Chirivel, on 24th Sept, starting from Bar El Hotelito at 11:00, but come early for a coffee and a chat
I have a holiday home in the campo at Velez Rubio and I suddenly lost my water supply on Wednesday evening.
Unfortunately, I returned back to the UK on Thursday without having time to sort out the problem locally ( I still had no water supply when I left).
My suspicions are that it has something to do with the storm that occurred over the region on Wednesday evening, but I still have a nagging feeling that my bank may have mucked up my direct debit payments to the water company and I may have been cut off!
The water meter is intact, there's no sign of any meddling within the meter box, and I've received no threatening letters (although I have no postbox I imagine the water company would affix some sort of warning to the front door or gate if they were to commence some sort of recovery process).
Does anyone have any similar problems in the vicinity?

Hi, I am on holiday in Velez Rubio in a few days time. Can anyone tell me where I can get an IRN test, preferably an instant one. I have been told some pharmacies in Spain do them but I have tried the ones nearest to me to no avail, I don’t want to wait around in a hospital for hours. Any advice would be much appreciated, Thank you
I've fallen so far behind in the technology stakes, it's embarrassing! Can someone tell me - in a very, very elemental, or even child-like way - how to set my tv up with a firestick? AND what do I need to buy for that firestick to work, ie; can I buy some sort of temporary-use internet provider (I've heard the term "Dongle" used)?
I don't have broadband at my holiday home in Velez-Rubio and for the past 8 years or so I've been happy enough to watch Spanish tv using a good, old-fashioned tv aerial. Most of the films the Spanish show are in English and football/sport can be followed in any language. The trouble is I've just been introduced to Netflix in the UK - which has spoilt me - and I'd like to try to obtain the same service in Spain.
Many thanks,
Paul
