I moved into a new apartment yesterday and there is no running water this morning (but there was yesterday). Is there a water cut in Garrucha today?

I am moving to Garrucha in the next couple of weeks and, not having a car, I will be dependent on buses to get me around. I'm not a pensioner, so will not be entitled to the council discount for buses but wondered if there was a card I could obtain and top up, instead of scrambling for and collecting change for bus fares! I've lived in Córdoba the last 10 years and had one there and found it to be so much easier. Does such a thing exist here and can I get one in Garrucha or nearby?

I live in Garrucha and La Cantina de Floor in the Paseo de Malecon, No. 16, is my "local".

Hello ,I'm kathy and I just came in Spain for some time . I'm looking for a job as an English speaker in Hotels ,restaurants or bars. It would be more comfortable if those jobs would be in Almeria or nearest cities.. I would also work in hotel full time if they'd pay and offer a living at the same time.. Hi . Does anyone know if a one year visa to remain in Spain could also allow me to visit family in Italy during that year. ? Also if there are no border checks in Schengen countries maybe it is possible to visit other EU countries? Any ideas on this? Thanks

We have just arrived back in Garrucha for the first time since New Year to find plaster and coving down from the ceiling. Has there been another earthquake in the past couple of months large enough to cause damage? We're trying to work out what has happened!

My mother in law has an apartment in Garrucha and we will be visiting in May. I'm looking to hire a motorcycle for 24 hours and any help tracking down somewhere to hire from would be much appreciated.

Hi All,

Coming back to Mojacar / Garrucha after a break of a few years.

I seem to recall there was an indoor market in Garrucha a couple of floors high with a number of fruit and veg outlets in it. There were also places selling churros and a small café on the second floor.

Does this ring any bells?
