Hello everyone

We will be retiring in two years and we plan to move to Cabo de Gata. Whilst we've been around many parts of Spain, we haven't been there.

We will be flying in May with our two dogs. Is there a concierge service that can take delivery of pet food etc and drop it to us when we arrive? It seems an effort to drag it all with us and pay excess luggage etc. 

I've done some googling, but I can't seem to find a concierge service in the province!

Trying to check if the c2 train from murcia to jaravia is now a bus replacement.  Will be travelling from murcia to lorca and then down to terreros with a couple of nights in each city, so looking for connection from lorca to san juan but the closest we can get to is lorca to jaravia.  Any help gratefully received.

Hello, i am seeking  a little advise from the people with the knowledge of the area,

I have had enough of the hassle and bustle and ever increasing costs of the UK.

I am looking to relocate to the area of Mojacar,

I currently work as a general maintenance engineer,  with knowledge accross many spectrums of the Building trade, from Roofing to Rendering, Plastering, Drainage, Pointing etc etc.

I also have knowledge of Swimming Pool construction and Maintenance, 

I know employment is hard to find, and I don't yet speak Spanish,  so I would be looking at self employment  to support My Family etc. 

What I would like to know is, would the lovely people of Mojacar and surrounding Areas have a need for a general Builder, also offering a traditional and pole reach window cleaning?

What is Palomares like for year round living? What is the situation with the radiation from the accident?

Hello and happy new year to you all.  I own a two bed apartment and there is space to put in a third in a largely unused open plan area of the apartment.  

We would be talking putting up two stud walls with a door.  The internal area already houses a window, sockets and switches etc.

basically we’re splitting a large room into two.   

Has anyone done this or similar and what legal process they followed in order to complete the work. I’ll add that I will be completing 90% of the work myself.

I hope posters can contribute positive improvements that have been made in their town, village, area during Covid.

Mojacar Playa:- 

1. Most of the beaches were improved with removal of some eyesores and provision of new plants and seating areas. 

2. Some car parks were upgraded and extended.

3. Damp Mosquito-Centrals were cleansed by the local council.

4. Restaurants/Bars upped their act regarding cleanliness.

5. Taxi service improved (well! it couldn't have got worse).

6. Some bars improved on music acts and had "concerts" from earlier in the day. Ankara is a good example.
