ITV TEST - COST?

Hello all,
Does anyone know for certain whether the increased price of a car ITV test will be charged if the test is taken beyond the original official expiry date but within the Government approved 3 month period due to Covid 19.
My expiry date was 10th August, but in knowledge of 3 month extension I only booked my test for 25th August. Looking at the rate scale it suggests that my fee will be increased by 12% because it is a late test, although my reasoning is that if officially you are able to take the test within an extended period then it isn't late!!
Does anyone else agree or know what the test centre will apply fee wise?
