I always that that was Carnicería Jose; if I’m right he’s on Calle San Cleofas, opposite Vera Gran Bazar (old Mercadona)

I don 't wish to sound rude but why would anyone come to live in Spain and buy  English products from somewhere like Iceland - the Spanish supermarkets like Mercadona are superior in every way - the one in Vera is well stocked and unlike U.K. Shops it is immaculate.

Also the saying 'when in Rome do as the Romans do' comes to mind - embrace Spain and enjoy a new way of life - it takes time but definitely worth the effort.

Maybe so Eric, but there are those who enjoy certain foods only available from Icelands (or quite often SuperTurre) - as is their right.  Mince pies etc for one thing.  Yes, when in Rome etc etc, but that doesn’t mean you are obliged to suddenly eschew foods you really like when they are still available.

As it stands Icelands is grossly overpriced and these days often understocked.

Eric, They are superior but not in every way. have you tried getting a chicken madras in mercadona? Totally agree with you regarding meat products though, especially pork.

Spoil yourself, try the New Bombay Chapouti round the corner from Anto's Buganvillas.  Fab curry house!

We eat there when hubby hasn't mixed his own spices and cooked one from scratch 😋😋😋
