It is also a rolling 180 days so everytime you enter a shengen country starts another 180 days.  Hope you understand this.

I do now thank you, its a lot better than I thought at first, I don't think it will effect us as I first thought 😁

How much money is required in a Spanish bank account to allow you to stay longer than 90 days? Also is it true that if you buy a property above half a million euros there is No time limit to length of stay? Thanks Mike

First off, I’m assuming you are in a UK passport, so to stay longer than 90 days, you would need to apply for a visa; this is a path to permanent residency and you will need to prove access to 28.000€ per annum for the first 5 years.

If you invest in a property portfolio in Spain of 500.000€ or more, this entitles you to a “Golden Visa”.  It is incorrect that you don’t have to leave after 90 days - you are subject to 90/180 until Visa is approved and issued.  I don’t know if a Golden Visa can be applied for from within Spain - the Non Lucrative Visa most definitely can’t be applied for whilst in Spain.

You’d be better contacting the consulate and asking for current requirements for a Golden Visa
