Hello, my husband and I are thinking of spending the winter in sjdt and are not young! So realistically may need medical attention in a hurry (I hope not). Are there any A and E hospitals in the town. We will be staying somewhere on the beach in an apartment. Is this far from all or any amenities? Thank you for your help, Serverina

I suppose the main one to check is does your apartment block have a lift if it isn't ground floor.
We have two supermarkets in the village, one has a butchers section.
We have a chemist.
We have a medical centre, open every day but only for a few hours, the main health centre is in Pulpi. ( 10 min drive )
For A&E it will be the hospital in Huercal Overa ( 35 min drive ).

Thank you. Most helpful. I am thinking now that maybe we need to be in Vera or nearer a hospital.
If we needed an ambulance e or para medí. How quickly would one arrive in Sjdt?
We ha e not taken a long term let yet, so have time to look.
We would appreciate any advice on local classified sites as do not want to be paying an arm and leg!

There's a really good emergency centre behind where the market is but your nearest hospital would be Huercal overá 35/40 mins drive away
