Returning to live in Spain

We are both UK citizens and lived and worked in Majorca for 20 years and are both in receipt of Spanish state pensions and so have NIE numbers. Currently living in Thailand we intend to return to live permanently in Spain and would like advice on the best way to proceed, it’s unlikely that we would be able to return before 31st October. We also both have full UK state pensions although they are frozen due to the current pension rules.
Can you please advise.
