We have a couple of Dots at our house in Spain, you can set your Spanish address and it tells you the local weather.  We mostly use our for home automation, turning on smart bulbs and plugs etc, and playing music and listening to the radio. I’ve not tried it for communicating with family in UK who also have Dots but as it’s all done by WiFi I don’t see a reason for it not to work. The features that won’t work are “tell me where the nearest x,y,z is” but we don’t use that in the UK either.

Thanks for the information sounds like it will be fab for what we want to use it for & pretty much the same as you. Do you charge it using a plug adapter or have you got a Spanish charger? Did you purchase your echo’s in the uk? 🤔

Yes we purchased ours in the UK and plug them in with adapters. We may get around to purchasing the correct 2 pin plugs but they seem to work just fine with the adapters. Each time we go over we have to take extra adapters, you can never have enough!
