I just watched all my money magically disappear......

finshed my food shopping at the Overseas store.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a peaceful and prosperous New Year

Last year spent about €120 at Iceland Vera and it included turkey crown and gammon. This year, less products, no turkey crown or gammon (bought elsewhere)  €163.  They are taking the piss.  It’s the staff that will eventually suffer when the store closes because the rest of the year it’s usually very quiet in there.

And other shops are starting to bring in British products - you can get Pork Pies at Consum. and SuperTurre in Turre Carries a fair few British products now

Icelands is grossly overpriced and I for one avoid like the plague.  It helps that there’s nothing there that I can’t happily live without.

I ordered a Gammon from the butcher in Iceland.....just boiled it ready to roast it's PORK. I'm really really peed off. I speak Spanish and showed the butcher what I wanted from what Iceland had on the shelf so there was no misunderstanding. Just wasted €25 in trying to support independent butcher. And it's stunk the house out.🤬🤬🤬

expecting a lot of stuff half price in the New Year and even then it will still be over priced.  When in Hercal Overa we buy at the corner shop Kenco coffee €6 Iceland €7.50 same stuff!  only go to Ixceland for Pom Juice for hubby as not sold anywhere else even though masses of pomegranites in Spain.  Cornish pasties when they have them, which is rarely, and cheesy biscuits and Branston pickle.

Lots of stuff available now in the little supermarket in Bouganvilla and Consum.

Hi well i won't be shopping at Iceland  next  Christmas that's for sure,  spent 90 euros there,  packet of  stuffing 4.95 everything well over priced.  My shop didn't even includ any meat.. its just for the holiday makers. I can't see that being open much longer

Well Icelands are part of the Overseas chain, first opened in Malaga I think it was.  As long as they can continue to fleece the tourists in summer and maintain their current clientele of largely British migrants who cannot survive without British brand foods, they’ll stay open.

I'm quite happy with most products from Mercadona or the local market, but when ever I drive out I bring a few things that I can't get here or are really overpriced. HP Sauce, Yorkshire teabags spring to mind. We were going to pop down to Iceland but reading what's being said on here, I don't think I'll bother.

Lots of English products available in Terreros.  I found Yorkshire tea bags in Turre I think.  Mercadona brown sauce is fine too.  Certainly pays to shop around.
