Hopefully moving to Spain with the family this year and just want to get an idea of what is available in the Mojacar/Vera/Turre/Garrucha area. I do not speak Spanish but hopefully will pick up the language quickly.

Wow, good luck with the move.
However if you need to work to survive you need to find an opportunity now.
Without being bilingual or say moving to a "Uk in Spain company" your chances of finding such work in your field is frankly pretty remote.
Spains employent is mainly farming and the holiday industry.
I know Spanish men qualified in many varied fields of industry that have not worked for eight years or more.
Don't make the mistake I made in similar circumstances and spent half my assets buying a place here.
Rent so you can up-sticks easily. Buying here is fraught with many more problems that you get in the UK, but that is another story.
