The bank account was set up by our lawyer, Maria at Mundi Abogados when we first bought. We didn't select Sabadell but have been very happy with the service over the last 4 years.

Hello there,
I moved to a rented apartment near the Indalo Hotel on Mojacar Playa in January this year. I now live in a lovely, modern, rented apartment on the sea front in Garrucha which I can certainly recommend. I have all of the shops, banks and local transport that I need on my doorstep with a lovely view of the beach and the sea from my balcony and windows. I am a single lady and, so far, have found everyone very helpful.
Hopefully, the following information will help you.
1. I have opened a bank account with Santander in the Commercial Centre. The lady I deal with is Lyndsay Macbride who is Scottish therefore there is not a language barrier.
2. I have a ~Sim only Lobster account which I pay monthly. I have my English Sim and my Spanish Sim in my phone but if you give everyone your new Spanish number, you can cancell your English Sim.
3. I use GC Partners to transfer a onthly amount of money from my English bank account, pay my landlord and pay the remainder into my Spanish bank account. This costs me absolutely nothing whereas is I transfered my money bank to bank I would have to pay a monthly fee. GC Partners are based on the Paseo Mediterraneo on the Stables roundabout, Mojacar Playa. I deal with Kane who is one of the partners.
4. I have applied for residency and have used Salvador Gestoria. They also can be found on the Paseo Mediterraneo, Mojacar Playa. They will spuply an interpretor if you do not speak Spanish.

Why not rent a 2-bed, 2-bath flat on the ground floor in our place in the middle of Mojacar Beach where the life really is humming, 200m from the beaches in a quiet side road? You will find much and enough in walking dintance till you are set-up well.
