Hello All. Our house was filmed in June 2019.  Jonny Irwin, what a great guy.  If only he reacted to what the buyers had to say.  Yes, they put an offer in at 8.00am in the morning, the only bit that is filmed “live”. We rejected the offer, and just a few minutes later, another offer was made, which we accepted.  That was the Saturday morning.  On the Monday, after the buyers flew back to the uk, our selling agents called them and asked,how they wanted to pay the reservation fee.  There was a pause on the phone, what reservation fee.  Another pause, “but we have a house to sell first “. More or less, end of conversation.....  the buyers insisted that they told both Jonny Irwin AND the production team that they had a house to sell so could not complete on a potential sale anyway.  You can imagine our shock and total disappointment.  Ah well, another cheap holiday for another couple !!!!

We viewed a property we saw subsequently on Place in the Sun. The house was shown fairly accurately, but as always the location was skated over - 20 minutes snaky mountain road to go shopping, the cause of the bargain price.  They show many really  old repeats on British TV when prices were very low and then get huge bargaining reductions - people come out on current programmes with a tiny budget and then are obviously surprised and disappointed by what they can got for property now!

The offer and acceptance/ rejection seems will be shortened for tv

Don’t buy.Rent first and when you are certain “this is for me/us” - go for it.Most important especially in Mojacar is terrace-size and aspect.Evening sun a must.
