You don't seem to have had much response.  Bars and restaurants are open not many beach bars but some.  Hotels are also mostly closed at the moment except Best Oasis the parador and various small hotels.  Just use a search engine like trivago or trip advisor.

We looked for a property just a couple of years ago. Not many beach bars were open but about half of the others, across the road from the beach front st least.

We travelled out of The Indilo hotel (spelling may be slightly wrong). This is at the far end of Mojacar but was an enjoyable walk along the shops or beach walkway. We used VIP to look  around properties we liked, from their books.

Good luck and enjoy. We bought in Pueblo Laguna,  near Garrucha,  in the end.

Martin.

Hi Carol,

Yes we are. Nice spot, less than 10 mins to the beach and some restaurants,  reasonably nice location,  near to the bus stop which gets us into Mojacar or we walk into Gurrucha.

We are out about 3 times a year for about 3-4 weeks at a time. We avoid July and August as it's a bit too hot and gets very busy.

We bought a town house on an urbanisation.  Costs are 90 Euros per quarter. One of the lower priced places. Some can be quite a lot more so watch out for that, unless you don't buy on an urbanisation.

We are out from the 1st April.  You are probably back by then but, if not, am happy to meet up for a coffee somewhere and we can chat more.

Martin.

I came out 3 times last year before moving permanently to Mojacar in September.

I stayed in three different hotels due to the cost varying during the weeks I needed them. They were ‘Gala Placida’, ‘Hotel Mojacar Playa’ and ‘Virgin del Mar’.

All were excellent, but these were for scouting trips so luxury was not on the agenda.

I would advise booking ‘room only’ in whichever hotel you choose so that you can breakfast and dine in a variety of cafes and restaurants so that you get a feel for the place.

Good luck,

Andy

Hi....We have spent several winters here and this year have bought in Los Gallardos area......Just far enough from the crowds of Mojacar in the peak season....(when we will not be here but children and grandchildren will be)....There are quite a few places open here actually. Several restaurants both on the Playa and up at the pueblo in Mojacar.....as well as good supermarkets, even an Iceland in Vera. There are also excellent shops in nearby Turre....and of course being a little way out you get more bang for your buck.....We have also stayed at Best Oasis in the past for odd days.....is what is says, fairly cheap and clean with parking. Indalo is now apartments. Good Luck....

Try Valle Del Lest Hotel, it was open a month ago! And it looks lovely!
