Hi Dan, I also have a Volvo, 2012 C70 D4 and I aiways use Tony Moran who is mobile, comes to my house, takes the car away and returns it when completed. Not sure if he comes to Mojacar as he lives Arboleas way, usually costs around €140 including synthetic oil and filters. He is very well know and highly recommended, his number is 622386946.

Re the update I can't help you with that as I am not sure what you are wanting updating but if you ring Tony he will probably be able to help. Just say Tony from Los Menas gas given you his contact details.

Good luck,

Paul (Tony Hurst)

Hi Dan,  we are stuck in Burgos en route to our house in Serena near Bedar. Our 2014 Volvo xc70 lost power coming off the ferry! worst nightmare. Been here since Wednesday  and prob till next Friday, the Volvo garage won’t even look at her till Tuesday .  Just asking, what are you having updated? Our Sat nav could do with that .  Last time it took us through Valencia City, then Paris, it will be the Death of me lol.

hi we have been in that situation ourselves!  Burgos is a good place to be stuck though as it is really nice there.  We to had a long wait for the garage to fix our car but ours was only a leak on the water tank to the radiator but the garage mechanic took our car to bits before he knew that!!!  glad you have been taken to a Volvo dealer we where taken to the Grua's own place and told there wasn't a Ford garage in the region, of course we know now that there is on the way out of Burgos.  Watch out for the speed cameras in the overhead signs on the motorway just outside the main entrances we got caught there overtaking in the middle lane.  hope you are fixed and on your way soon.

Yes, like computers, great when the go lol.   Now it’s Thursday or Friday, so make that next Friday !  And a huge bill.!       Feel like just heading home to Stirling instead of three months in Mojacar.  Now, had to take our wee Romanian rescue to the vet with pain tonight, x-ray shows they think, she was born with two discs that are thinner than the others , could be causing the pain, but, if she was born with it she doesn’t cry much, only ,squealing today, poor wee thing .

Lol, cars,  we had a caliper jam on after leaving our car parked at Alicante airport for three months.  A Landrover discovery.  Had to pull off the motorway at the Notorious Blue bridge services.   Guys tried to rob us, but I was expecting it lol.  Told them where to go in my very best Glaswegian accent and Braveheart face haha.  Just wanted to get into somewhere where they would take off the wheel and hammer or work the caliper loose. No,  ended up in Aspe!  Renault dealership.   We were due to sail home in 12 days .  10 days later, hotel bills too , a job that would cost about £300 in Scotland, a second hand caliper , new discs and pads, and segund a mano brake pipe too .  €2200. !  car was t even worth that. This was just before Covid, and I told them ,they shouldve been wearing masks !

we were told on a friday midday that our car was ready to collect and they wanted payment in cash!  of course there was no way we could do that so after a great deal of negotiation for us by the very helpful hotel receptionist they finally took credit card payment.  we left the hotel early the next morning and were over charged by the night staff for breakfasts we hadn't had but we were so glad to be on our way home we didn't check until it was too late and then got a speeding fine on the way out of Burgos which came in the post 2 weeks later.  A very expensive trip.
