Just been to our dentist in Parque Commercial to find that he has retired and a new young Spanish lady with her husband I think on admin taken over the practise.  They said they are intending to take English lessons to help with the english clients but meanwhile it's google translate.

Any recommendations of the other dentists in that area please we just want a reasonable english spoken clinic that will not pressurise for replacement teeth!

May be a bit far for you but Koral Dental Clinic at the Icelands roundabout going into Vera are excellent; receptionists speak fluent English, and the dentists are also well versed in English

thanks Dario I might try them out I hate going to the dentist as a child I had lots of fillings and treatment for a wonky tooth with a nasty metal brace that didn't do my teeth any good.  Now I have lots of caps at great cost and they always trap the food and cause me problems.  Need a sensitive dentist.

I use Koral and have recommended them to friends.  I took am a very nervous patient as a result of my experience as a child with the 'school dentist'.

The staff at Koral are very kind and empathetic.  I am very happy with my treatment there.  There is no pressure to have more work done than is necessary.  A hygienist appointment is part of the 6 monthly check up process but that is a plus in my opinion.

I have used a variety of different dentists in Spain and Koral are up with the better experiences I have had.  They are certainly better than my experience in the UK.  Perhaps not the cheapest but still value for money.  One of the pluses with a dentist in Spain is that, in my experience, they provide a written estimate of the work they recommended.

Good luck with whoever you choose and hope your visits will be a positive experience. K

been in today and first appointment is 9 April for specialist so cross fingers infection will be gone by then.  Looks like it might be more expensive than our old one though as he was a one man clinic so no wages to pay except his receptionist/assistant.

Yes Koral is superb go and see Elle there she’s English and fluent Spanish and she is wonderful and will look after you. She may be our god daughter so I’m obviously biased but she’s great at what she does…

They are all really good there.
