Hi Mary thanks for your message. Your right there does seem to be quite a few ladies looking to make a new life for themselves and it's great that on this site we can gather information and perhaps create new friendships. The more I think about moving to Mojacar the more it motivates me to do so. Unfortunately for me it will be another couple of years so after the transition period. I know there will be changes but fingers crossed it won't hinder my plans.

Hola Alan

Thank you for your reply. It's reassuring to know I'm not going to be sitting in an apartment twiddling my thumbs 😁

Hi Maureen

2 weeks have flown by already since I arrived! I'm all caught up and up to date with my friend now (who lives here) and was wondering if you would mind if I joined your team for the Monday night pub quiz? I'm not sure how much of an asset I'll be but I'll give it a go!

Cheers Julie

Hi Julie

Like you I thought about just coming out for the winter. The new EU regulations will mean we can only spend 90 days in any 180 day period. That still means 3 of the winter months but not able to return for another 3 months. I'm still trying to decide what is the best course of action.

Hi Maz

Clear cut for me, I really can't take the heat so the new ruling suits me.

It certainly is forcing people's hands but sometimes he who hesitates is lost. Go with your gut instinct, you can make it work if it's what you really want 😊

Almost the best whatever you decide.

Julie

Hi Julie

I know what you mean....i had 50 degrees in Antequera in the summer.... Not great when you're in a tin can. My only concern is finding a rental for 3 months over there.... availability and cost.

Hi Julie,

There's a Monday night quiz in Badgers and a Wednesday night quiz in Kukis, both near the Hotel Indalo.  Let me know which you would prefer, or both and we'll arrange something.

Take care,

Maureen

Hi Maureen

Thanks for replying, I know where Hotel Indalo is. Happy to go for both! Is Badgers easy to find?

Julie

Hi Julie, yes, it's just before the hotel.  Both Kukis and Badgers are on the right hand side.  We may be too late for Badgers as they also offer a fish and chip meal before the quiz and it's normally booked up well in advance so why don't we try Kukis on Wednesday, about 7.30?  I'll have my daughter and grandson from England with me.  They're here till Saturday.  Let me know if you'd like to come.  We'll be the two adults sitting with a 12 year old boy.

Take care and I hope to see you on Wednesday.

Maureen
