So, any movement on this now that Spain seems to be relaxing the rules a tad?

Anyone made any plans to go to Mojacar, even if only for a weekend break? or tentative plans, for when the quarantine is lifted?

Hi Sandra  I have just joined the site and am also thinking of renting in Mojacar for a while with a view to re locating permanently. As a single woman of 56 I am nervous but excited for the new adventure, I would like to thank you for your posts, your confidence has inspired me to get serious about this move and look ahead to next year at possible areas to rent. Will get searching

Thanks & best wishes  Karen

Hi Karen

I’m in the process of arranging a rental in Mojacar for October. I’ve never been to that area but thought it would make a good base to look around other areas.

I know there are several other single young at heart ladies in the same boat and we’re all here to support each other.

Maz xx

Hello , nice to see this thread come back to life.

Ive also secured a rental now , Fuentemar which is towards the Garrucha end of vera playa, so I will arrive 1st August all being well with the borders etc. I am nervous and excited, will be arriving solo and don’t know anyone, so would be very pleased to have a coffee, vino, natter with anyone in the same position.

This thread has been so lovely and helpful, and I do hope to meet some of you in a few weeks time. Oh my goodness, I can hardly believe I am actually making this happen having idly dreamt about it for years!!!

Hi Beanie, I think we have been chatting on FB Ladies group? I arrive end of August and although I am a wee bit further up the coast, San Juan de Los Terreros, it would be great to meet up sometime? Wishing you all the best for your move and I will hopefully keep in touch 😘

Fantastic! I‘m sitting at home watching the rain come down, after driving back from the airport and being diverted off the motorway because of roadworks at 1am.

You’ve definitely done the right thing! Enjoy the sunshine and the relaxed way of life Almería has to offer! Andy

Hi Karen,

Exciting times ahead for you. I completed a purchase last July and go over regularly but only 52 I’m not retired yet, but purchased in advance so I can get use to travelling and driving over there. Can be a bit daunting in viewing and indeed purchasing on your own, but when done and complete, it’s another massive tick in a self goal being achieved.

just a note wishing you the best and trust everything go according to plan.

Regards

Danny

Yes it's raining here in the SE so can't wait to wake up to a blue sky and beautiful scenery. I will look at the areas mentioned. Thank you for the replies, it makes it all seem more real when we are all looking toward a new adventure, Best wishes  Karen

Hi Beanie, we rented at Fuentamar  for 3 months before buying a property. It is a good base to look around from.People were very friendly. We arrived October so it is very quite there but gets very busy in summer months. The shops are very close and a few bars and food outlets. Good luck to you and enjoy ☺☺
