spanish car registration

Hello ,i have a few questions ,I am planning to buy a spanish registered car from a privat person ,does the owner has to go for itv and get a paper that the car is ok to sell ,how does the numberplate which belongs to the car gets on my name,does the insirancecompany take care of the registration and the insurance as well ,are there any important things i need to take care of owning a car in spain ,how high is the tax ,roadtax,in spain .

Over here it costs money to transfer a car into your name also you will probably need proof of Padron to do that

thank you ,what is proof of padron ??Have you got any idea what it will cost to have a car on my name ,the car is spanishnnot forein

I bought one from a garage 6 months ago To change owner was over €100. Proof of padron you have to put your name down at the townhall where you live they will then give you proof of padron this has to all be sent off and the car is then registered to that townhall where you pay the road tax every June

one more question ,when i buy the car from a local person ,a spanish car ,will it be the same as from a garage ??

I can't see why not I do not know if you or the owner have to send the documents off the garage did mine which were sent to Almeria to be registered. Also check the car has been taxed im pretty sure if it hasent you are liable for it
