Road Tax and ITV

I am in UK but my spanish registered car is in a long stay parking compound at Alicante airport.

Does anyone know the situation with car tax and ITV - my tax should have been paid by direct debit but this has not been taken from my bank account.

My ITV expires in a few days but I think the next time I will be in Spain will be October/November - not sure if I will then be able to legally drive the car down and have it ITV'd at Vera.

I can get the parking company to do the ITV but they charge €90 so if I can do it at Vera that would be cheaper!

Hi, Regarding the road tax i'm not sure, they haven't taking it from my bank account either.

For the ITV, you will be able to drive it legally in October/ November the extension periods for the ITV which expired in June are from the 6- 12 you have until the 31 of JANUARY to get it passed, from the 13- 19 you have until 15-02-21 and 20th of june you have until the 2nd of March.

Re the ITV, I contacted the Ayuntamiento as we have not received the renewal notice/statement and I was informed that they will be sending them out within the next 10 day (that was about 10 days ago) and the payment period has been extended until 20 July.

You will need your NIE and registration number, I used this link to pay mine this week.

Vera ayuntamiento hasn’t issued car tax renewals as yet. I’m still unable to pay mine online.

Hi Again! I have just found out that for the direct debit payments they will be taken out of our accounts in the 2nd half of June (from the 15th onwards)

This was on the tax website: Está previsto que los recibos domiciliados sean cargados en las correspondientes cuentas bancarias en la segunda quincena de junio de 2020.

Just to update anyone following this - I had €107 taken from my account by "Taxes Diputacion Provincial De Almeria" on 17 June and this amount tallies with the amount I paid last year - so it appears the taxes are now being taken.

PS Its raining in UK....
