I am currently on HITs pay as you go, problem always have to ask in bars/restaurants etc for Wifi connection, so

would like to change to a contract, keep the same telephone number.  I live in Mojacar so is there any place

you can recommend.

Hi, give Lobster a call, free on 1661. I've been with them for nearly three years. No contract. I pay 12 euros every 28 days, currently offer on for 18GB data. All in English.

Can also contact Digi - prepaid / contract 10€ for unlimited national calls and 20GB data, unused data rolls over at end of month; also carried by Movistar, so best coverage in Spain.

Digi also offer a dedicated English helpline (plus they do Fibre optic internet if you need it). I’ve been with Digi since 2017 and they just keep adding on services and not raising the price.

Digi can be found in various outlets in Mojácar / Garrucha / Vera-Playa or you can order online.  If you order online you can definitely port your number across.

The person here is on pay-as-you-go so you renew when you have used your credit. Surely your plan is a sort of contract, irrespective of monthly use, vyou have to pay every month?

We are on Hits and hardly use our mobile so a €10 top up may last us 6 months or more.

OP stated they were unhappy with HITS coverage though and actually asked for a contract, so Lobster / Digi are two good options.

I was with Hits for 7 years using top-ups the same as you. You should get 3 gb of data every top up.  They use Vodafone so the coverage is pretty good. Not sure why you have to keep using bars wifi unless you are a heavy use rin the bars i.e. stream sports events etc. 3gb is normally plenty for day to day emails, websites etc,.

Anyway, I did change eventually only because I switched to fibre optic internet with NEXT (who use masmovil) and they offered to port my number with them (Yoigo) and now have unlimited national calls and 10gb date a month for less than a euro a month included in my internet package which has been faultless.

Hope that helps

Ian
