I have used Wise for years. Cannot fault them, you get the mid exchange rate and they take a small charge. Excellent xx

I would add a vote for GC Partners. Also on the seafront paseo, more towards the Carboneras end. Excellent rates.

I like its simplicity, that I can do everything I need in-app, the fact someone from UK can do a direct transfer to you from their bank (paying to the EU IBAN Wise allocates) and you can use it AS a bank account. Wise will also give you both a digital and physical card you can use. You can also set up various recipients and pay to them from Wise.
I have family in the UK and have had to send money there on occasion. Via Bank … EXPENSIVE. Via Wise, dead easy and very very very cheap.
I wonder whether someone who uses Wise can help me with a test? I suspect that Wise and Revolut are very similar products; Revolut is a full banking product, and my understanding is that Wise is too. I used to use Transferwise in the old days though switched to Revolut when I realised how easy and cost saving it is, but from the comments people have made on here it seems that Wise is now much improved.
This is my test: at this moment in time I can exchange £1000 on my Revolut app to 1,191.06€, or I can exchange 1,191.06€ to £998.93. So the total cost for 2 transactions is £1.07. There are no further costs - I can transfer the EUR free of charge to any EUR bank account (Cajamar doesn't charge me to receive), or I can move the GBP free of charge to any GBP account. All transactions are immediate, just as if I was doing an electronic transfer between two UK banks.
Can anyone do the same transaction on their Wise app, and let me know the outcome?

Revolut for me. Almost zero buy/sell spread, real-time rates, zero fee and instant transfers. You can also use it for other financial products if you want to, e.g. share investment, crypto, commodities, savings, virtual card for online purchases...all sorts.
One other good thing with revolute, my Grandson was over last week, the plane travelling home broke down, Almeria Airport, cut a long story short his ins with revolute meant he got full refund on flight, plus hotel ect 500 euro. Excellent service.
