I believe there is a way that you can 'bend ' the requirement, you put 27k in the bank get confirmation, transfer it out then put it back for the next year,so basically for 5 years you do not need 135k just the same 27 moved about, perhaps DM might have heard about this

Don’t even think you need to transfer it out - as long as you can prove you have the requisite amount, how it gets there is not normally questioned.

The only issue occurs at first visa renewal, as the renewal is for two years and you have to prove you have sufficient to cover the entire period, i.e. 54.000€

You need a gestor and your Spanish Lawyer should have a contact or two. No-one seems to say that Spanish Layers are a very mixed bunch, some of whom I would not trust for an instant. Also, you will probably if not certainly pay tax on your UK pension(s). The allowances in Spain are a lot less than in the UK. Check this out with a tax accountant only. Personal opinions by anyone else do not count, it must be a tax accountant.

Valle del Este - international area, and you’ll pick up what your looking for for less than that I’ll warrant, especially long term.  3 bed Duplex / Bungalow at Valle del Este on long term rental would go for anywhere between 450€ per month to around 700€ per month depending on which complex you were in.

Well, as stated you need the 27.000€ per year available every year for five years to get residency, but I’m guessing you’re talking about living expenses.

OK, Mojácar - rent will run anywhere between 350€ - 450€ per month depending on what you want; electricity, depending on company and usage about 50€ - 70€ per month; internet - I pay 30€ per month for a 1 GB/s connection.  We live (now) in Vera Playa and two people can live comfor...

Thank you very much for your help!😊
