Also a bit mystified about the €3000, that's the deposit your obliged to pay when your doing a villa house or apt purchase.

You pay, your vendor pays, if they change their minds you get their €3000, conversely if you try and change your minds you lose the €3000.

It's not a currency exchange fee, it's more a charge to discourage gazumping or mind changing, after all €3000 is a chunk of change !!

Hi..just saying hello as I have just joined this forum.

My husband and I considering buying something here with the intention to move here permanently in a few years. (Hopefully).

Looking forward to reading all your posts

Regards

Carol and Vin

Hi Carol and Vin

We too are looking to buy and are coming out on the 27th of March.

We are looking inland but also Villaricos too. We were here in January looking at Gallardos, Garrucha, Mojácar areas.

Hopefully we will all find our own bit of paradise!

Good luck to you both

Liz and Gary

Hi, how did you find Garrucha and Mojacar ? We go to the Sunday market at Vilaricos and checked it out when we started looking around mid to end of 2016, Garrucha and Vilaricos seemed to be mainly apartments both in and outside of town, Mojacar can get really really busy in the tourist season with parking at a premium.

We chose a small village called Urcal, inland a little bit.

45 minutes from Mojacar, 40 minutes from Vilaricos, 7 minutes from the motorway and 12 minutes from Huercal Overa, been here since late March 2017 and along with a group of others who moved in within weeks of each other we love it.

Yes I agree with everything you said, Mojacar too busy for us, Garrucha ok but mainly apartments too. looking inland now at the places you mentioned, hopefully we will find somewhere this time.

I think once we find the area we want to be, we can narrow it down

Thanks so much for your info

Liz and Gary

Hi, try Voss agents. Also there are a couple of villas etc for sale, at least one privately here in Urcal.

Have a look around, pop into Bar Amazir for a coffee or a beer, darts nite thursdays, quite a few locals both spanish and brits might know of places.

We love it here. Cant say more lol.

I have 2 children in the institute so know lots about children activities in the area J

Hope to get in touch with all members soon.
