Minimum amount, 700€ a month in and I have a small investment account with them (it’s got like 1.000€ in!!). Haven’t paid a céntimo in fees, including card.

Ah, the €700 per month is more than we spend as we do not live in Spain.

Guess I could transfer 700 in than 500 back out each month! But it's getting complicated...

Will have to look at other options I guess.

Yes, you certainly could do that - all they want to see us 700€ in.  I run my own business and some months can get a bit … flat … v BBC and staff advised me to withdraw money, then pay it back in via machine 😁

They don’t care if it gets taken out again immediately, as long as they see 700€ come in.

Banco Sabadell has proposed the closure of 320 branches in Spain, affecting almost 31 per cent of the bank's network in the country so bear that in mind.

That dates from June 2020 and it was 235 branches and 13% of its network.  As it stands a good proportion of the proposed branch closures never occurred

That's exactly what I do,keep money in Wise account in pounds, euros etc and transfer when required into Spanish account and withdraw money from their ATM.Keep minimum in Spanish account as here the authorities seem to have the right to take money out as they deem fit with no authorisation from the account holder required.....

Yes, if you have an outstanding debt to government (local, autonomous or national) in the form of fines, unpaid bills, taxes etc, they can embargo your account and recover the debt.

It is however a last resort and will not happen until they have made any and every attempt to contact you by post.

Because you get charged bank and ATM administration charges if you withdraw money directly using your Wise card.....
