Hi. I don't know of any existing groups but I would be interested in starting one up. I am located just outside Turre, been here since May 2018 and am amazed at the variety of birds, butterflies, moths and other insects that inhabit my garden.

To date I have seen Hoopoe, Bee-eater, Southern Grey Shrike, Great Spotted Cuckoo, Redstart, Thekla's Lark, Redstart, Woodchat plus all the usual suspects e.g Collared Dove, Goldfinch, Greenfinch, Robin, Blackbird, Swallow (nesting), Swift (over the pool)  and a few thousand Starling all on my garden list. I have been meaning to formalise my recording of sightings and this would be a good time to start.

Let me know if you might be interested.

Malcolm

Hi again

Sorry to hear about your wife but glad it's sorted and on the mend. Los Gallardos and Turre are pretty adjacent so we can arrange to meet up when you are back over. Spring is always a good time for birding and not far off now. I'm sure we can tailor birdwatching trips to match your wife's capabilities until she has recovered fully.
