Hi Marianne

Congratulations. I have an apartment in Villaricos. One thing to perhaps consider is getting a man with a van bring your stuff over..... when we drove over I was always worried about leaving my stuff in the car for all to see even when parking up for coffee or lunch, and unloading and reloading in the morning when we stayed in a hotel overnight was a real pain.

Good luck x

Hi,, thanks for the tip, but I’ve got a big suv with blacked out windows, and to be honest, it’s all part of the adventure. And it’s only bedding, crockery, clothes.. so nothing valuable. But again thank you.

Yes it's a nice place apart from too many Brits that that don't want to assimilate into Spanish culture. They regard it as Blackpool,1000 miles to the south..😁

Hi Mary, good luck with your move and hope you’ll be very happy in your Spanish home.

My husband and I moved to Oria, the next village over the mountains after Partaloa, 4 months ago and we love it here, life is so good.

Once again good luck.

Dawn

Hi Marianne, we too have just purchased in Palomares, hope to move permanently next year. In the meantime myself and hubby are visiting as much as possible. As he intends on working a further year I may be there on my own for some of the time at first. I really like the feel of the village and cannot wait to move permanently. Good luck with your move!

Hi Dawn.

That sounds exciting.  And good luck for the new stage of your life.  Maybe we can catch up for a coffee. My apartment is on Calle Major ( where the market is every Wednesday). Let’s keep in touch . ( I’m driving down next month... should be “in residence” around the 11-12 May )

Oh dear. Do they cause a problem? My place is only 5 minutes walk from the square.
