Hi,

My name is Gary and thank you for such a useful site.

This is my first post and apologies if this has been discussed before, but I have seen a couple of humble properties in La Alfoquía and wonder what people's thoughts/experiences are, e.g., bars, restauantes, supermarkets, walks golf etc. Can you also rent out to others when you're not using yourself?

Thanks in advance.

Hi, we have had a place in La Alfoquia for the last year or so, and we are very pleased with our decision. Several great bars and restaurants to walk to, a couple of excellent supermarkets, it has all we need. Also plenty of other villages and towns very close by. Not too far from the coast (25-30 min drive, will soon be faster as a new link road will open in a few months)

A nice mix of Spanish and expats of various nationalities. Overall, a great spot in Spain.

You will need expert advice in regard to renting out your property. Tends to be a minefield if not managed correctly. Particularly with licences and tax payments.

For golf give us a call on [email protected], or our Fb group Huzzah Golf Society whenever you are ready to play. Good luck.

Thanks, that was really hepful. I'm still looking and haven't made my mind up yet. I'll plan a visit later in the year.
