What is the best way to get cheap calls to the UK ?
I used to use the code 902 902 952 to call back to the UK from my Spanish landline. This service has now stopped.

If you are using a smart phone download the app called WhatsCall. Each day sign in and collect points; you can also collect points for opening the treasure chest, watching short ads. The points give you free calls to anywhere in the world, mobile or landline. You soon accumulate points when you get used to it. One friend has never paid for a call since downloading the app before Christmas.

I note the other responder. We use a similar app but this time whatsapp. However the recipient of your call also has to be on whatsapp so they also need a smartphone.
We find ours great for family & friends in Oz but it's amazing how many people/businesses are on whatsapp. When you save the number to your smartphone it immediately shows.
Hope that's of some help.

Re Whatsapp, that's true. With Whatscall the other party does not have to have the app and it can be used to call landlines too.

Didn't know that. We retain a 3 Contract Smartphone which costs about £35 pcm. We use it all over the world and have never exceeded call limit but has unlimited texts and internet. This is built into phone so internet everywhere,.no need to look for wi fi hotspots.
Totally computer illiterate at 70 & find these innovations amazing.

Thanks. I use WhatsApp but find the voice calls are a bit erratic ... lots of delays and frequently cut off ... Great for messaging and sending photos, though.

Thanks for this. It's a new App to me. I am not sure I am disciplined enough to do it ... I am useless with loyalty cards, etc.!
