Good morning everyone. I have a question. I need to open a bank account for not residents in Spain, in order to buy a property. I would like to open the account with one of the banks in San Jose. Does anybody know the procedure? the web is full of information sometimes contradictory. Many thanks

Morning, we have had a Spanish Bank account for 16 years as non resident. The charges have increased steadily over the years. We are now in the process of buying a second place and have transferred everything across to the online bank Wise. It’s been excellent from start to finish and buy paying the final amount in to our Solicitors bank account through Wise, we have avoided additional bank transfer fees.
