Hi

just letting everyone know that transiting Alicante airport today was exceptionally fuss free.

We had all documentation as suggested and sailed through with minimal fuss or delay. The authorities seem to be well on top of things, although just how quickly they will process people when it gets busy remains to be seen.

Good to be back!!!

Great to hear your journey back to Spain was straight forward. Can I ask if you have residency/TIE card? We are returning next week for our appointments in Almeria after having to visit UK on an emergency (we have our acceptance letters/paperwork). Thank you Zoe 🤞

Hi Zoe,

we have applied for residency last December and have the paperwork from Almeria stating residency granted but without activation etc.

There were others without this but with docs showing other necessary reasons to visit.

We certainly didn't witness anything other than a willingness to listen.

Several were denied access to the plane by Ryanair staff at Manchester airport however.

Hope this helps set your mind at ease?

On another note I filled out the spth app incorrectly by accident and it won't let you go back in to amend it so my QR code stated I did NOT have a negative covid test  again the airport staff were on it immediately and changed the code on producing the test results. Very proficient and very polite, one of the horror stories proffered by the UK tabloids.

Thank you very much, that has put my mind at ease. There have been lots of horror stories reported previously of people being refused entry even though they had correct paperwork. I can stop worrying quite as much about the return journey now and just continue to stress about getting our TIE in time to get our driving licence exchanged 🙁. Good luck with completing your residency 😁
