Hi do you need copy of death certificate as well as birth certificate??

Hi, sure I did. Fortunately one of my uncles had kept everything so that made it easier, but the Irish Government website tells you exactly what you need.

I received my Irish Passport this month after waiting around 8 weeks, cost £70

My father was Irish.

My application was handled in Dublin, they do have a backlog because their offices were virtually closed for many months.

At the moment UK vaccination passes are not recognised in some European countries!

You will need what is called the Long Birth Certificate for your father, also Marriage Certificate for your parents and also your birth certificate, also marriage certificate if your name is different from your birth certificate. Things seem to be improving now. Good luck Vera!
