Hi Chris, yes I'm dismantling beds etc at the moment,  I'm trying not to get too stressed  about the journey, it's  29 hours on the ferry from rosslare port to bilbao, then the drive to arboleas with a rottweiler and a jack Russell in tow, should be interesting I'd say, lol. I've m...

...assaged to rent a villa for 3 months while I see where I want to buy, mayo is a very beautiful county, I'm in wexford, but I always wanted to retire to the sunshine,  I wish you all the very best with your move, and if you have any questions, I'll try to help you  as I'll be a couple of months in by the time you set off.  All the best, Joe.

Hi Chris we moved to Arboleas from co mayo through Manchester to see family last month best move we ever made. Good luck

Hi Shane  - haha!  a small world hey!  The Irish are great wanderers aren't they?   My sister moved to Mayo from Manchester area about 20 years ago.   She'll be visiting us in Spain as soon as we land I think :)

Glad to hear you've settled there and are enjoying life.  We're getting very giddy about the move having recently sold our house so we're on the last lap.

Best wishes, Chris

Hi Joe - good luck with the packing up.   We did that last month together with a lot of thinning down of 'stuff' -  23 years and 2 daughters worth of accumulated stuff - argh!  We're currently in a short term rent in Worsley as our buyers wanted to move in fairly quickly.

That journey sounds ....... interesting/a challenge! Well, you could just switch off and enjoy the boat journey - with a good book.  I'm sure it'll fly by and you'll be in your new home in no time.  I hope it's all you wish for and enjoy your new life.

Best wishes, Chris

Booking.com, search for Cantoria. The name of the villa is Villa Rosada. You'll love it.

Thank you, I'll have a look.

Best wishes, Chris

Rottweilers are on the Dangerous Breed Dogs here in Spain, and must be muzzled whenever outside and mucrochipoed, and a special licence is required....Just thought I'd mention it in case you didn't realise.
