We're heading to Spain from Manchester area of UK and have a few more hoops to jump through (thanks Brexit) - my parents were from Co Mayo so I'm the proud holder of an Irish passport which helps. It's likely to be around 12 Feb - checking flights as we speak and will also need accommodation for probably 3 months.

Hi Chris, yes I'm dismantling beds etc at the moment, I'm trying not to get too stressed about the journey, it's 29 hours on the ferry from rosslare port to bilbao, then the drive to arboleas with a rottweiler and a jack Russell in tow, should be interesting I'd say, lol. I've massaged to rent a villa for 3 months while I see where I want to buy, mayo is a very beautiful county, I'm in wexford, but I always wanted to retire to the sunshine, I wish you all the very best with your move, and if you have any questions, I'll try to help you as I'll be a couple of months in by the time you set off.
