Hi,  we're in the same boat, villa, bank, nie, health everything other than us which doesn't seem likely until end of January. Those acting on our behalf on residentia in Albox area dont seem unduly flustered by all this providing you/we fulfill the new criteria. A friend of mine moved to Al...

Hi thanks for taking the time to reply.

We seem to have the same feeling as regards to our representatives don’t seem phased at all. We are just glad we’ve got the villa and have decided if it takes two years to move over permanently then so be it. It’s just frustrating knowing that we have a beautiful villa just sat there.

Hope all goes well for you now and in the future.

You're very close then. Hope all goes smoothly and you can get here. Sadly Covid cases have riden a lot in Arboleas and there's a Meeting on Friday to see if lockdown is started again for all in Andalucia. So sad 😞

Hi, just wanted to say I don’t think you need to panic. Although the criteria for your Residencia application may have changed slightly from pre 31st December, its nothing that you wont be able to get sorted. Just stick to your plans of moving out as soon as you can, as even though we are just entering stricter Covid restrictions again, the sun is shining and Arboleas is fab!

Hi

Thanks for the reply and your remarks, it's just been a manic year and we hoped to have been a bit closer to being in the lovely sun, but at least we've got the villa and now we've booked removal company for mid March to take our furniture over.

Fingers crossed covid doesn't put another dampener on it.

Cheers lish

Hi,

I suspect you will have some difficulties regarding residency because you were not resident by December 31st. Hopefully that will not make residencia impossible though. The CAB Spain page is full of useful links and I would definitely suggest you seek the advice of a recommended solicitor. I wish...

... you the very best of luck.

I believe you are correct Juliet......We started our residencia before the end of the year and pick up our TIE next week. Surely these people had a solicitor who could have warned them to get things started, or even do it for them.....You only had to start the process prior to the end of 2020.....such a shame,
