Hi everyone

As I am new to this forum and this is my first post please bare with me.

We have already completed on our villa in arboleas, got our bank account and our NIE numbers, unfortunately we had our flights cancelled to come over to do our padron and start our application for residencia.

We have now booked to move our furniture over in March, how will this affect us moving as I understand you can only stay 3 months at a time and maximum of 6 months without the residencia. We are panicking as we have moved in with our daughter just until we could make the permanent move. Can any one put our minds at rest as to where we stand.

Hello and welcome to Arboleas. We are newbies and moved here in July.  Unfortunately I cannot answer your question as everything seems to be up in the air and very busy at the moment. We started our applications for Residencia and driving and it has taken quite a while which isn't fully completed on either..just a waiting game now.

Do you know anyone here who can help you or are you doing them yourselves. I can give you a couple of names as they will be able to give you the information and possibly help in the applications.

Hope the move goes ok and you get here as planned.

Best wishes

Gwyn

Hi Gwyn

Thanks for your reply we are getting a little help from our solicitor and also cat services at the moment, like you said it's now a waiting game. We've waited long enough to fulfil our dream so a little longer hurt.

Appreciate your time and response.

Martin

You will find the forums and bars are full of "experts" some are very good, some are not..... The best place at the moment for up-to-date information is https://www.gov.uk/guidance/living-in-spain

Hi,

I suspect you will have some difficulties regarding residency because you were not resident by December 31st. Hopefully that will not make residencia impossible though. The CAB Spain page is full of useful links and I would definitely suggest you seek the advice of a recommended solicitor. I wish you the very best of luck.

We are near the end of Los Carrascos just before the bridge to you. Know the bar very well now lol.  Yes happy to meet up when you're here.  If you need any info, happy to help.

You can see our villa from the bridge we face it, and we like the bar there too had a few when we was last over. We move our furniture over mid March so might give ya a shout if we get unpacked before we come back.

Hi,  we're in the same boat, villa, bank, nie, health everything other than us which doesn't seem likely until end of January. Those acting on our behalf on residentia in Albox area dont seem unduly flustered by all this providing you/we fulfill the new criteria. A friend of mine moved to Alicante area just after Christmas he started .residential process just after New year and all seems to be going smoothly so far. I agree with John1844 alot of Great advice some not so good. Were certainly not going to let this Brexit blip spoil our move. Good luck either way.
