... about anyone or anything that doesn't conform to your exacting standards. But instead of trying to give advice you lecture, and try and make people feel small and the need to justify themselves. This winds people up quite necessarily. 

You dont even live here you come and visit and when you visit I would think the people in your area are split into 2 camps, the ones that stay well clear of you and the ones that are nice to your face but think you are a joke behind your back. and all of them must heave a sigh of relief when you go back to Ireland.

The lady that is feeding the feral cats is doing a good job I applaud her, she lives here, you dont, the cats keep the rats down and she is probably having them neutered, the ones she can catch, so you should help her, give her some money towards the food and the neutering after all she is keeping the rats away from your apartment.
