The same here, we have to buy blood thinners so went to doctor and they said go to chemist 

We couldn't believe how easy it was to buy the same make tablets here in Albox. 

Very easy BUT FOR 28 TABLETS IT COST US 84 00 EUROS 

84.00 euros and people with a health card pay 2.50

Very costly tablets. Only from a chemist head ache tables 10.00

No sure what that is

You have to register with SS and they fill a form in and you take to your health centre to register 

I know its a green card and I think once you have this you get them cheaper. But you have to be a resident 

We are still waiting to have an appointment with this SS

No - you’ll be on Private Health until you are a permanent resident so unfortunately not available if you are here on an NLV

We are resident's etc but we are waiting for to get an appointment at H /overa at SS

But we can't get an appointment as yet 

Then we could get the green health card etc. 

I think I got that right hopefully 

As long as you are registering an S1 form, or being able to work, registering to pay Autónomo, yes, you’ll get Salud Andalucia card

We have health insurance but paid 84 euros for blood thinners thought we could claim for them but because they were prescribed in the uk by a doctor at hospital 

They would not pay for them. So really not point in having private health insurance 

Except it is a requirement of residency - you must have either private health or eligible to register on Spanish health 

Hi all as things stand now don't give up the N H S  it is a free service par excellence !    We were looking to move over but with Brexit it's not an option ,  it was once a dream for many but better the devil you know than risk being absorbed into a nation  of inconsistency , Expats will always be classed  as second to the Spanish people no matter what visa you have !  Also the Spanish property market must have nosed dived  due to the chaos in vaccination procedures. So why not be supportive off the recent British people who wish to forgo  everything that is great about Britain for a life in the sun ! Kind regards Geordie 42.
