Use your charm Maggie. The two ladies in Longo, just thank them for all their help even though they wish you dead. Keep smiling and they'll eventually get confused and start fighting amongst themselves. It always works. Take this advice from a veteran of Customer Service of over 50 years experience. The customer always wins.

I'll have to have another word on the quiet with Jenni though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

...ll be paying big money to win you and Mr Maggiep back. I can nearly hear Jenni saying "Hey Matt, you cocky Irish git, Longo won't pay a penny." But, yes they will, they must advertise, pay staff, buy stock etc. In fact, they must pay for everything in which to attract The Customer. And Maggiep, you're the customer for which they paid nothing and you went in there willingly and spent a small fortune and they did everything they could to ensure you and your husband will never go in there again. Read the paragraph again - Longo cost themselves money for something of which they had being paying nothing. 

Good Clientele for Sales = Customer Service (sales, aftersales, customer service, happy staff, smiles, good products etc). Or in one word = Appearance/Presentation (well!- two words).

If you think I'm wrong look at the staff performance next time you visit a farmacía. They're good, well presented, helpful, talkative, smiling and give  you the impression they're there because of you and you're not an interruption to their day. 

Forget about complaints books forever. The Terrible Two would look at a subject in there as a Badge of Honour. (Psssssssst! - whispered from a Paddy).
