Wouldn't disagree with any comments to date with the exception of 'Eating Out'. Depending on where you go and what you eat, it can be as economical to eat out at Tapas Bars as it is to buy and cook your own food. So, eating out regularly is not lost to you on your budget ;)

Hi, finding this topic of how much to live on very interesting and informative but what about the monthly income the Spanish government insist on...how much is that?

My partner easily runs a villa with pool for less than 200 euros per week, biggest outgoing being the electric.
Personally I've been really struggling financially for the last year or so and had no life but managed to get by on 75 euros a week but I live alone. That is the barest minimum I can get by on running a thirsty but little used car plus all other bills. I would love to have extra so I can afford to eat out or travel more often except to shops etc.

Do you mean the figure required to obtain a Visa? 400% of IPREM which is 592.63€ per month, so 27.000€ per annum
