From the perspective of someone who manages on less than that - HELL YES!! Depending of course as Bob points out, on your lifestyle.  If you want a huge villa and want to eat out every night, well, you might find yourself a bit stretched, but other than that - you should be fine.

Saludos, Darío

Think we may Need to consider the volatility of the pound. We all remember 2008.Renting is a must initially as is having one's own transport.Public transport even if available is not.particularly user friendly.Perhaps nearer the move we can give some approximate figures.BEST WISHES,Bob and Sandra

Would be definitely renting for a few months, we are from Ireland so exchange rates won't matter, thanks for the help, no doubt we will be asking more questions as we go along

Hi,

I'm sure many on here will be happy to help.

Also if you are considering the Albox/ Arboleas area you may want to consider their original Firm

www.arboleas.co.uk

Loads and loads of EXPATS. Post under General Chatter and you may well be overwhelmed.

Used to use frequently but became disillusioned with all the back biting. This Forum is more civilised.

Bye for now.

We manage on about half that but no outgoings, i.e. mortgage, rent or debts.

Agree with Alant, we reckon 200 euros a week is ample. We have no mortgage or debts, we pay all our bills by DD, have 2 cars, 4 big dogs and have a much better standard of living than in the UK. As Dariomartin says if you are going out every night, etc and renting then you will find it tight.

You need to also decide where you want to live, in an English area or a Spanish village, everyone is different.

Good luck and best wishes,

Paul.

HI,

Also tends to be more expensive to rent on coast and there are spevific Spanish laws regulating Rental.properties. Many are illegally rented but are.then hopefully cheaper.

Obviously more expensive the shorter the let and time of year.
